Blog Week 13

Hello,  This week at the very beginning of the class, lic. Orlando provided us some information on what options we have in order to continue with our graduation process. Almost done!  Afterwards I delivered a class with an approach on listening comprehension, I prepared some activities so my students (my classmates haha) could work on them in groups, I consider that the activities were a little entertaining.  The audio for this class had as topic "Human zoo vs touristic attraction", it was a really interesting audio, it is about the Padaung tribe (Tribe in which women wear "rings" on their necks") and how did they lived with their traditions, opinions of the tourists and general information about the tribe.  See you next time!

BLOG WEEK 12

Hello, This week was midterm week, however, I was still at ASAPROSAR interpreting so I couldn't make it to college to deliver the class with my team, but I am supposed to work on that on Friday 10. See you!

ENGLISH DIDACTICS WEEK 10

Hello!  This week I was hoping to go to the Teacher's Up conference, however, I was not going to be able to go. I was going to volunteer as an interpreter with ASAPROSAR in the Pediatric Ophthalmologic Campaign for a whole week and lucky me, I was leaving on Friday. A whole week interpreting, it was a really nice experience though.  See you next time!

ENGLISH DIDACTICS WEEK 8

Hey, how are you?  In this class we were reading a bit about Gloria Estefan, this in order to understand what were we going to be doing during this class. While reading, we had to describe the main idea of the text, we had to come up with some questions about it, and a few more activities with the same passage.  But this was not just because, with this passage and with the activities that were carried out with it, our professor taught us how to use any type of text to create a class. Whenever you are teaching receptive lessons, these activities are going to help you to manage the class before reading, while reading and after reading.  It is actually really interesting how easy it is to create a whole class out of some random text!  See you next time!
